Angela did not grow up around guns and she does not hunt. She picked one up around 2013 for one reason: she wanted to feel safe. What followed was more than a year of taking the wrong class and buying the wrong gun, because she did not understand half of what she was being told.
She kept going, found a trainer who taught her properly, and trained for a couple of years until she could stand on her own. Along the way she worked out what she actually wanted to do, which was teach the class she wished she had taken first. Gun Girl Training opened in 2019.
“I have patience with the learning process. Not having the background one might expect, I feel I have an advantage of teaching a class from a newer to guns students’ perspective. I feel it’s important to give one on one attention, not fill as many seats as the room holds.”
She is a USCCA Official Partner and a certified instructor for Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals and for Marksmanship Simplified: Foundations of Handgun Coaching.

Michigan CPL class
The USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals course, one day, classroom and range at Kent County Conservation League in Ada. Co-ed, everyone welcome, and the certificate meets the state requirement.
Beginner pistol, private
One on one for someone with little or no experience. How guns work, how to handle one safely, and which pistol might actually fit before you buy anything. Gun rentals available.
Basics and beyond
For gun owners who already know the basics and want to shoot better. Built around your strengths and the things you want to fix.

8461 Conservation St NE, Ada, Michigan 49301. A private range surrounded by woods, with a large private classroom, so you are not learning in front of an audience. Classroom and live fire happen at the same place, so there is no driving between two locations partway through the day.
